In Minecraft, a totem of undying is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.

A totem of undying is a new item that was added in Minecraft 1.11. It isn't armor that you wear but rather it is an item that you hold it in your hand (similar to a shield). If a player experiences fatal damage while holding a totem of undying, the totem of undying will restore 1 health point and give the player Regeneration II for 40 seconds and Absorption II for 5 seconds.

How to get a Totem of Undying in Survival Mode

You can add a totem of undying to your inventory in Survival mode by killing an evoker. So let's get started!

1. Find an Evoker

First, you need to find an evoker in your Minecraft world.

2. Attack and Kill the Evoker

Once you find an evoker, you need to attack it. When you attack the evoker, it will turn pink as it takes damage.

Continue to chase and attack the evoker. Once you have killed the evoker, it may drop a totem of undying. There isn't a 100% chance that the evoker will drop a totem of undying when it dies. If it doesn't drop one, find another evoker and try again.

3. Pick up the Totem of Undying

Make sure you pick up the totem of undying before it disappears.
