How to make Spruce Planks in Minecraft

In Minecraft, wood planks including spruce planks are another important item in your inventory that are used to make many other items in the game. The crafting process will create 4 spruce planks at a time. Spruce planks can also be used as a fuel in a furnace to smelt/cook 1.5 items (1 spruce planks will burn in a furnace for 15 seconds).

How to craft Spruce Planks in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make Spruce Planks

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make spruce planks, place 1 spruce log in the 3x3 crafting grid.

When making spruce planks, it is important that the spruce log is placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 spruce log in the first box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for spruce planks.

Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the 4 spruce planks will appear in the box to the right.
