How to make a Magma Block in Minecraft
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a magma block with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, magma blocks are one of the many building blocks that you can make. A magma block is a type of block that emits light. They are found naturally in the Nether, and can also be found near Ruined Portals, Ocean Ruins, and at the bottom of Bubble Columns which are deep underwater.
When you walk on a magma block, you will take fire damage (unless you are wearing a pair of boots with Frost Walker and then you can walk on magma blocks without taking any damage).
Let's explore how to make a magma block.

Required Materials to make a Magma Block
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to craft a magma block:
How to craft a Magma Block in Survival Mode
1. Open the Crafting Menu
First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:
2. Add Items to make Magma Block
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a magma block, place 4 magma cream in the 3x3 crafting grid.
When making magma block, it is important that the magma cream are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 magma cream in the first box and 1 magma cream in the second box. In the second row, there should be 1 magma cream in the first box and 1 in the second box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a magma block.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the magma block will appear in the box to the right.
3. Move the Magma Block to Inventory
Once you have crafted a magma block, you need to move the new item to your inventory.
Congratulations, you have made a magma block in Minecraft!
