In Minecraft, you can brew a Potion of Slowness (4:00) that is extended to last longer than a regular Potion of Slowness (1:30). When this potion is drank, it will give you the Slowness effect and reduce your speed by 15% for 4 minutes.

How to craft this Potion in Survival Mode

1. Open the Brewing Stand menu

First, open your brewing stand so that you have the Brewing Stand menu that looks like this:

2. Add Blaze Powder to Activate the Brewing Stand

Start by adding blaze powder in the far left box to activate the brewing stand.

3. Add Items to make this Potion

In the Brewing Stand menu, you place ingredients in the top box and the potions are created in the bottom three boxes.

To make a Potion of Slowness (4:00), you will need 1 Potion of Slowness (1:30) and 1 redstone dust.

Place the Potion of Slowness in one of the bottom boxes in the Brewing Stand menu. Then add the redstone dust to the top box.

Once the brewing process is complete, you will hear a "glug glug glug" sound and the redstone dust will disappear. The Potion of Slowness (4:00) will now be finished.

TIP: If you hover over the potion in the Brewing Stand, you will see the name of the potion and its effects.

If you drink the Potion of Slowness (4:00), it will give you slowness and reduce your speed by 15% for 4 minutes.

You probably don't want to reduce your own speed. So, try turning the Potion of Slowness (4:00) into a Splash Potion of Slowness (3:00) to throw at another mob. This will reduce the mob's speed by 15%.
