Required Materials to make a Firework Rocket
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to craft a basic firework rocket:
How to craft a Firework Rocket in Survival Mode
1. Open the Crafting Menu
First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:
2. Add Items to make a Firework Rocket
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a basic firework rocket, place 1 gunpowder and 1 paper in the 3x3 crafting grid.
When making a firework rocket, it is important that the gunpowder and paper are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 gunpowder in the first box and 1 paper in the second box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a basic firework rocket.
TIP: If you hover over the firework rocket, you will see its flight duration.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the firework rocket will appear in the box to the right.
Since our crafting recipe used 1 gunpowder, the firework rocket has a flight duration of 1.
TIP: The flight duration determines how high the firework rocket will go.
You can change the duration of the firework rocket by changing the amount of gunpowder used to craft the firework rocket.
For example:
- If you use 1 gunpowder, the flight duration will be 1.
- If you use 2 gunpowder, the flight duration will be 2.
- If you use 3 gunpowder, the flight duration will be 3.
3. Move the Firework Rocket to Inventory
Once you have crafted firework rockets, you need to move the new items to your inventory.
Congratulations, you have made a basic firework rocket in Minecraft!
