How to Breed Ocelots in Minecraft

In Minecraft, you can breed ocelots and make cute kittens. Let's explore how to do this.
Required Materials to Breed Ocelots
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to breed ocelots:
Steps to Breed Ocelots
1. Find Two Tamed Ocelots
First, you will need to find two tamed ocelots to breed. You can not tame wild ocelots, only tamed ocelots!!
Here are the 3 types of tamed ocelots that you can breed:
Tuxedo
Tabby
Siamese
TIP #1: If you don't know how to tame an ocelot, read our tutorial called How to Tame an Ocelot.
TIP #2: If you are having trouble finding an ocelot, you can summon a tame ocelot using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.
Your ocelots will need to be close together when breeding, so we have built a fence to keep our two tamed ocelots from running away.
2. Use the Raw Fish
Next, with the raw fish selected in your hot bar, you will need to feed the raw fish to each of the ocelots, one at a time.
The game control to use/feed the raw fish to the ocelots depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition (PC/Mac), right click on the ocelots one at a time.
- For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap on the ocelots one at a time.
- For Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press the LT button on the Xbox controller.
- For PS3 and PS4, press the L2 button on the PS controller.
- For Wii U, press the ZL button on the gamepad.
- For Nintendo Switch, press the ZL button on the controller.
- For Windows 10 Edition, right click on the ocelots one at a time.
- For Education Edition, right click on the ocelots one at a time.
As you feed the raw fish to the ocelots, you will see red hearts appear over their heads. Each of these ocelots is entering love mode.
Once you have fed both ocelots, they will turn to each other and red hearts will continue to appear over their heads.
After a moment, the red hearts will disappear and a cute baby cat (kitten) will be standing next to its parents. The baby cat will be the breed of one of its parents.
In this example, the kitten is a tabby.
