How to Create a World with a Seed in Minecraft
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to use a seed to create a world. Let's explore how to do this.
Background
When you create a new world in Minecraft, you have the option to create your world by entering a seed that is used by the World Generator. When you use a seed, your world will be consistently generated with the same biomes and structures each time you use that seed.
Most commonly seeds are numeric values that vary in length and can be either positive or negative values. If you do not specify a seed value when you create your world, the game will use a random seed.
