In Minecraft, you can restore a llama's health by feeding it and you can also speed up how fast a baby llama grows by feeding it food. Let's explore how to feed a llama.
Foods to Feed a Llama
In Minecraft, these are the foods that you can feed a llama:

Note: The chart above shows the amount of health restored for each type of food eaten by a llama. It also displays the amount of time that it speeds up growth if you feed the food to a baby llama.
Steps to Feed a Llama
1. Find a Llama
Once you have one of these foods, you will need to find a llama to feed.
Llamas are usually found in the Windswept Hills, Windswept Forest and Savanna biomes.

If you are having trouble finding a llama, you can summon a llama using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.
2. Use the Food
Next, with the food selected in your hot bar, you will need to feed it to the llama. In this example, we are going to feed the llama wheat.
TIP #1: To feed a llama, you must have the food item selected in your hot bar and the llama must "be hungry". Otherwise, the llama will not eat.
Tip #2: If you are not holding a food item and you follow the instructions below, you may end up mounting the llama instead. So be sure to hold the food first before trying the instructions.
The game control to use/feed the wheat to the llama depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition (PC/Mac), right click on the llama.
- For Pocket Edition (PE), you move your pointer over the llama and press the Feed button.
- For Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press the LT button on the Xbox controller.
- For PS3 and PS4, press the L2 button on the PS controller.
- For Wii U, press the ZL button on the gamepad.
- For Nintendo Switch, press the ZL button on the controller.
- For Windows 10 Edition, right click on the llama.
- For Education Edition, right click on the llama.
Once you have fed the llama, one of the wheat will disappear from your hot bar.
The llama's health will be increased and if the llama was a baby, it will grow into an adult in less time than normal.
