How to make an Acacia Log in Minecraft
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft an acacia log with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, an acacia log is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.
Let's explore how to add an acacia log to your inventory.

How to get an Acacia Log in Survival Mode
You can add an acacia log to your inventory in Survival mode by chopping down an acacia tree. So, let's get started!
1. Find an Acacia Tree
First, you need to find an acacia tree in your Minecraft world. Acacia trees are usually found in the Savanna biome.
2. Hold an Axe
Although you can use your hand to chop down an acacia tree, we prefer to use a tool such as an axe. These are the axes you can choose from.
In this example, we are going to use a diamond axe because it is a faster tool to chop down an acacia tree.
3. Chop the Tree Trunk
The game control to chop down the tree trunk of an acacia tree depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the acacia tree.
- For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the acacia tree.
- For Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
- For PS3 and PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
- For Wii U, press and hold the ZR button on the gamepad.
- For Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
- For Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on the acacia tree.
- For Education Edition, left click and hold on the acacia tree.
You will need to continue to chop until a small acacia log finally appears.
4. Pick up the Acacia Log
Make sure you pick up the acacia log before it disappears.
Once you pick up the acacia log, it will appear in your hotbar.
An acacia log is a useful item and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
