How to get Glowstone Dust in Survival Mode
You can add glowstone dust to your inventory in Survival mode by mining glowstone. So, let's get started!
1. Find a Block of Glowstone
First, you need to find a block of glowstone to dig up. You can find glowstone in the Nether.

Glowstone is easy to spot because it will appear as a group of glowing yellow blocks.
2. Use a Pickaxe
You can mine a block of glowstone with anything including your hand, but it is faster to use a tool. In this example, we are going to use a diamond pickaxe.
3. Mine the Block of Glowstone
The game control to mine the block of glowstone depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the block of glowstone.
- For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the block of glowstone.
- For Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
