How to craft a Wooden Shovel in Survival Mode

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:
2. Add Items to make a Wooden Shovel
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a wooden shovel, place 1 wood planks and 2 sticks in the 3x3 crafting grid.
When crafting with wood planks, you can use any kind of wood planks, such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, bamboo, crimson, warped or cherry planks. In our example, we are using oak planks.
When making a wooden shovel, it is important that the wood planks and sticks are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. There should be 1 wood planks placed in the middle box in the first row. In the second row, 1 stick should be in the middle box. In the third row, 1 stick should be in the middle box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a wooden shovel.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the wooden shovel will appear in the box to the right.

Attack Damage and Durability
Attack damage is the amount of damage the item will deal when attacking a mob.
Durability represents how long the item will last. For tools, weapons and transportation, durability is the number of useful actions before the item is destroyed. For armor items, durability is the number of hits (that can be blocked by armor) before the item is destroyed. So the higher the durability number, the longer the item will last.
The following table shows the attack damage and durability for each shovel in Minecraft:
Item | Name | Attack Damage | Durability |
---|---|---|---|
Netherite Shovel | 6.5 | 2031 | |
Diamond Shovel | 4 | 1561 | |
Iron Shovel | 3 | 250 | |
Stone Shovel | 2 | 131 | |
Wooden Shovel | 1 | 59 | |
Golden Shovel | 1 | 32 |
