Game Commands

Command Changes
  • Added spectator as an option in the /gamemode command. To switch to Spectator Mode in your Minecraft world, use the following command:

    /gamemode spectator

Spectator Mode
  • Added Spectator Mode to the game so that players can fly around and observe a Minecraft world (Spectator mode was previously an experimental feature)
    • Players in this mode can not interact with anything in the game, but can fly through solid objects
    • Spectators will not see the crosshair, hotbar, XP, health, hunger, or armor
    • Spectators can not take damage
    • Spectators can not open their inventory
    • Spectators are not required to sleep at Night
  • Fix for MCPE-156688 - Added Spectator Mode to the list of Personal Game Modes in Settings
  • Fix for MCPE-162873 - Allays will no longer throw items to players in Spectator mode
New Touch Controls
  • Players can choose to use one of the following touch control modes:
    • Joystick & tap to interact - Drag joystick to move. Drag anywhere else to look around. Tap and hold blocks to interact with them.
    • D-Pad & tap to interact - Tap arrows to move. Drag anywhere else to look around. Tap and hold blocks to interact with them.
    • Joystick & aim crosshair - Drag joystick to move. Drag anywhere else to look around. Aim crosshair and use buttons to interact with blocks.
New Default Skins
  • Added 7 new default character skins that can be selected in the Dressing Room:
    • Kai
    • Ari
    • Zuri
    • Sunny
    • Makena
    • Noor
    • Efe
General Changes
  • Updated the sound effects of wooden doors, iron doors, wooden trapdoors, iron trapdoors and fence gates when they open close to match Java Edition
  • Updated pressure plates to match the pitches of Java Edition
  • Updated the button click sound for wooden buttons to match Java Edition
  • Updated the sound effects for crimson blocks and warped blocks
  • Most blocks that are destroyed from lack of support will have audio effects, particles, and cause vibration events
  • Fixed a bug where Light Blocks were invisible after being placed
  • Fix for MCPE-20006 - Chiseled red sandstone and cut red sandstone now have smooth undersides
  • Fix for MCPE-65138 - Lily pads will now make a sound and show particles when hit by a Boat
  • Fix for MCPE-112407 - Coral Fans can now survive on top of Glass
  • Fix for MCPE-116986 - Coral Fans can no longer be placed on the side of Slabs
  • Fix for MCPE-153744 - Projectiles that land on mud will no longer shake repeatedly
  • Fix for MCPE-153961 - Amphibious mobs can now be able to properly pathfind around Mud Blocks
  • Fix for MCPE-162252 - Updated Mud blocks and Soul Sand blocks so that their bounding box matches their visual bounding box
