1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make an orange candle, place 1 candle and 1 orange dye in the 3x3 crafting grid.

When making an orange candle, it is important that the candle and orange dye are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 candle in the first box and 1 orange dye in the second box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for an orange candle.
