Beacon Structure (1 layer pyramid) in Minecraft
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to build a (1 layer pyramid) beacon structure with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, you can give players either Speed or Haste for 10 seconds using a beacon in a 1-tier pyramid structure. Let's explore how to do this.
Required Materials
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to make a 1 layer pyramid beacon structure:
Steps to make a Beacon Structure (1 layer pyramid)
1. Place 9 Blocks as the Pyramid Layer
First, place 9 blocks of iron, gold, diamond or emerald in a 3x3 structure. In this tutorial, we will use 9 iron blocks.
2. Place a Beacon in the Center
Next, place a beacon in the center of this structure.
You should see a vertical beam of light appear that goes up into the sky (creates a light source that is light level 15).
3. Open the Beacon Menu
Next, open the Beacon menu. You should see 2 options for a 1 layer pyramid - Speed or Haste.
4. Configure the Beacon
Add 1 emerald, diamond, gold ingot or iron ingot into the empty box and then choose a status effect (either Speed or Haste). We will select Haste.
Click on the green checkmark button when you are done configuring the beacon.
5. Beacon will give Status Effect
Now all nearby players will be given Haste. The Haste status effect will start at 10 seconds, tick down and then reset back to 10 seconds again. So players that stay within the range of the beacon will receive the Haste status effect continuously.
Congratulations, you just learned how to use a beacon to build a 1-tier pyramid structure that gives all nearby players a status effect (Speed or Haste) for 10 seconds in Minecraft!
