Background

In Minecraft, the Mesa is a biome in the Overworld. It is very rare to find and is made up of red sand, and various colors of terracotta. It also has many rivers flowing through the valleys of red sand. Gold ore is found more commonly in the Mesa biome than any other biome. So if you are looking for gold, this is a great biome to explore.
