Hostility Level (Hostile)
An elder guardian is a hostile mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and elder guardians. Because an elder guardian is a hostile mob, it will attack you in Survival mode but not Creative mode.
Health Points
In Minecraft, an elder guardian has 40 hearts for health. This gives an elder guardian 80 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill an elder guardian, you need to inflict 20 points of damage to the elder guardian.
Where to Find Elder Guardians
In Minecraft, you can find elder guardians inside the Ocean Monument (also called the Guardian Temple).
These Ocean Monuments are found in the Deep Ocean, Deep Lukewarm Ocean and Deep Cold Ocean biomes.

If you are having trouble finding an elder guardian, you can summon an elder guardian using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.
Weapon
An elder guardian does not carry a weapon.
Attack Method
In Minecraft, an elder guardian fires a laser at you when it attacks, performs a thorn-like attack, and inflicts the Mining Fatigue effect.
Drops
When you kill an elder guardian in Minecraft, it may drop one or more of the following items: Tide Armor Trim, prismarine shards, prismarine crystals, raw fish, or wet sponges.
Make sure you pick up any dropped items before they disappear. They are useful and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
Experience Points
As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.
These orbs represent experience points. When you kill an elder guardian, you will gain 10 experience points.
