Where to Find an Ocean Monument
In Minecraft, an Ocean Monument is a structure that spawns naturally in the game. It looks like a water temple and is found underwater in the Deep Ocean, Deep Lukewarm Ocean and Deep Cold Ocean biomes.

Here is a picture of what an Ocean Monument looks like underwater:
The Ocean Monument is made up of prismarine, prismarine bricks and dark prismarine and it is lit with sea lanterns. The monument is held up by 23 large pillars made of prismarine bricks.
Around the monument, you will find lots of squids swimming around.
Entrance to the Ocean Moment
There is one entrance to the Ocean Monument. To go inside, follow the arches of sea lanterns to find a small opening into the temple.
Once inside, you will find a series of passages to follow.
Protectors of the Ocean Monument
The Ocean Monument is protected by two types of underwater mobs - guardians and elder guardians. Both of these mobs are hostile and will attack you. As you approach either, you will hear an eerie noise.
Guardian
A guardian has two different attack styles. It will either fire a laser at you or perform a thorn-like attack.
Elder Guardian
An elder guardian is even more powerful than a guardian. Its attacks include firing a laser, performing a thorn-like attack and inflicting mining fatigue.
If you encounter either of these mobs, make sure you are wearing armor. One attack from either of these and you will most likely die.
Wet Sponges
Within the Ocean Monument, you will find rare wet sponges. You can usually find a group of sponges growing in the temple on the ceiling in one of the small rooms. You can dig up these wet sponges and add them to your inventory.
Tide Armor Trim
Starting in Minecraft 1.20, you can add Tide Armor Trim to your inventory in Survival mode from an Ocean Monument, but it is a bit trickier than obtaining some of the other armor trims. Tide Armor Trim is used to visually customize your armor using a Smithing Table.
To get Tide Armor Trim, you will need to find and kill an elder guardian.
When the elder guardian is killed, there is a good chance that it will drop Tide Armor Trim.
If Tide Armor Trim is not dropped, look for another elder guardian and try again.
Ocean Monument Seeds
You can use a seed to create a world where you spawn near an Ocean Monument:
