Hostility Level (Neutral)

An iron golem is a neutral mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and iron golems. Because an iron golem is a neutral mob, it will only attack you in Survival mode if you attack the iron golem first. It will never attack you in Creative mode.

Health Points

In Minecraft, an iron golem has 50 hearts heart for health. This gives an iron golem 100 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill an iron golem, you need to inflict 100 points of damage to the iron golem.

Where to Find Iron Golems

In Minecraft, you can find iron golems near villages. Here are some examples of what villages look like:

Plains Village

Desert Village

The purpose of the iron golem in Minecraft is to defend the village and protect villagers from mob attacks.

If you are having trouble finding an iron golem, you can build an iron golem or summon an iron golem using a cheat. Starting in 1.19.3, you can also use a spawn egg to create an iron golem.

Weapon

An iron golem does not carry a weapon.

Attack Method

In Minecraft, an iron golem will move towards you and try to hit you when it attacks.

Drops

When you kill an iron golem in Minecraft, it may drop one of the following items: iron ingot or poppies.

Make sure you pick up any dropped items before they disappear. They are useful and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.

Experience Points

As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.

experience points

These orbs represent experience points. Unfortunately, when you kill an iron golem, you will not gain any experience points.
