How to get a Jungle Sapling in Survival Mode

You can add a jungle sapling to your inventory in Survival mode by chopping down the leaves of a jungle tree. So, let's get started!

1. Find a Jungle Tree

First, you need to find a jungle tree in your Minecraft world. Jungle trees are usually found in the Jungle biome.

2. Hold an Axe

Although you can use your hand to chop down the leaves of a jungle tree, we prefer to use a tool such as an axe. These are the axes you can choose from:

In this example, we are going to use a stone axe.

TIP: If you are looking for a jungle sapling, be sure to chop the leaves from the tree. If you chop down the tree trunk, it will give you a jungle log and not a jungle sapling.

3. Break the Jungle Leaves

The game control to break the jungle leaves depends on the version of Minecraft:

For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the jungle leaves.
For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the jungle leaves.
For Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
For PS3 and PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
For Wii U, press and hold the ZR button on the gamepad.
For Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
For Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on the jungle leaves.
For Education Edition, left click and hold on the jungle leaves.

You will need to continue to chop until a jungle sapling falls from the tree.

4. Pick up the Jungle Sapling

Make sure you pick up the jungle sapling before it disappears.
