How to craft a Dyed Leather Tunic in Survival Mode
1. Open the Crafting Menu
First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:
2. Add Items to make a Dyed Leather Tunic
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a dyed leather tunic, place 1 leather tunic and 1 dye of your choice in the 3x3 crafting grid. In this example, we have chosen to use a black dye as the dye.
When making a dyed leather tunic, the leather tunic and dye can be placed anywhere in the crafting grid. In this example, we have placed the items in the second row where the leather tunic is in the second box and the black dye is in the third box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a dyed leather tunic.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the dyed leather tunic will appear in the box to the right.
3. Move the Dyed Leather Tunic to Inventory
Once you have crafted a dyed leather tunic, you need to move the new item to your inventory.

Durability
Durability represents how long the item will last. For tools, weapons and transportation, durability is the number of useful actions before the item is destroyed. For armor items, durability is the number of hits (that can be blocked by armor) before the item is destroyed. So the higher the durability number, the longer the item will last.
The following table shows the durability for each chestplate in Minecraft:
Item | Name | Durability |
---|---|---|
Netherite Chestplate | 592 | |
