How to Defend with Boats
Let's show you how to defend your home using boats as a defense.
1. Place Boats around your Home
First, place boats around your house.
Make sure you place the boats as close together as possible. If you leave too much room, mobs will be able to walk in between the boats and get through your defense.
When you are done placing your boats, your defense should look something like this:
2. Wait for Night and Defend your Home
Once it gets dark, the hostile mobs will spawn. As the mobs walk toward your house, they will jump into the boats and get trapped. Once a mob is inside of a boat, they can not get out. Even an Enderman can not teleport out of a boat!
This zombie has gotten trapped in the boat and can not get out. Now you can kill the zombie. If you aim at the zombie's head, you won't accidentally damage the boat and destroy it (you don't want any of the boats to break).
3. Up to Two Mobs can get Trapped in a Boat
Depending on the size of the mob, you can have up to 2 mobs get trapped in the same boat.
In this example, we have trapped 2 Enderman in this boat.
4. Some Mobs are too Big for a Boat
Finally, some mobs are too big and will not get trapped in the boat. For example, spiders will not get trapped in the boats because they are too big to fit.
You will have to kill the spiders normally.
