Hostility Level (Neutral)

A bee is a neutral mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and bees. Because a bee is a neutral mob, it will only attack you in Survival mode if you attack the bee first. It will never attack you in Creative mode.

A bee is a unique mob because it can only attack once. As soon as it attacks, it loses its stinger and will die within 60 seconds.

Health Points

In Minecraft, a bee has 5 hearts heart for health. This gives a bee 10 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill a bee, you need to inflict 10 points of damage to the bee.

Attack Method

In Minecraft, if you try to attack a bee, it will sting you inflicting you with the Poison effect. Once the bee has attacked, it will lose its stinger and die within 60 seconds.

TIP: If you are holding a flower, a bee will not attack you. Instead, the bee will turn upside down and wait. Once you stop holding the flower, then the bee will attack and sting you.

Drops

When you kill a bee in Minecraft, it will not drop anything. It is one of the few mobs that when killed, does not drop any items.

Experience Points

As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.
